I am needing some guidance.
My OB is delivering the baby (well technically the resident is delivering and she is just there)
Then she is turning around and billing for an attendance at delivery while a resident then does the H&P on the newborn that she attests.
So, I don’t know why this is tripping me up so much.
But, attendance at delivery is supposed to be a “requested service from another provider” but a resident wouldn’t count would they? And, I have always made both providers state in the note why another provider needs to be in attendance.
I know deep down that she can’t do this but I always find documentation to back it up and I can’t seem to find anything that meets her situations………………
