My best guess is that we may see an increase in demand for medical coders specifically in the Primary Care setting and who know where else? My suggestion is to polish up your skills and familiarize yourself with CMS guidelines because your skills may be needed in the months to come. I wish you the best!

I have noticed more opportunities for certified coders in compliance and auditing positions (I just moved over to an auditing position) as there will be even more scrutiny of claims and codes.
