I am brand new here but I am trying to help the providers get some quest bills paid and I was wondering if there is a resource to see what diagnosis covers different labs? For ex..TSH, A1C, Candida swab etc?
Best thing to do is check if there is a Medicare NCD or LCD covering the lab code billed. I personally find the CMS website to maneuver around NCDs a pain My employer has a subscription to coding software that makes it easy to look up. Alternately, you could try contacting the lab and explaining you are trying to help them get their bills paid and see if they can supply NCDs.
