If a patient was admitted to observation and did not go home within the 48 hours what codes would be used for the admitting physician's daily visits.
ex: Admitted on a Friday and discharged on Monday. What codes would be used for the entire stay?
 
Friday - admit to observation - 99218-20 (as per documentation)
Saturday and Sunday - Established patient visit - 99211-15 (as per documentation)
Monday - Observation Care discharge - 99217
