How should a facility bill for observation following procedures done in it's ambulatory surgical center? Thanks!

Hello ,
To properly code an observation code in an ASC facility, you would use G0378 for the observation following the proper documentation stated in the physician orders or casemanager documention that the actual stay will be an Asc observation.

I thought that if a procedure had a payment status indicator of T then the observation charges would be bundled into the procedure. But if you billed a "post procedure" charge with a recovery room revenue code then that would be separately billed.
