Wiki Observation status coding

I have a pt in observation status for three days.
I billed 99220 for the first day 99232 for the second day and 99217 for the third day. Medicare is denying the 99232 for the second day.All with out pt location. Am i billing correctly? Please help me..............

I use the 99212, 99213 for multiple days in observation. I do not have the link to that, though, sorry.

observation

99232 is for a subsequent inpatient day. You would need to code a 99212-99215 for the second day because this is outpatient.
