Patient is admitted for observation the attending physician orders a cardiology consult, what E/M code should be used by the cardiologist?

Office or Other Outpatient Services? Office or Other OutPatient Consultations? or Hospital Observation Services?

It would be outpatient office or consultation depending on the carrier. Observation services are used by the provider who admitted the patient to observation status
