Hi Everyone!
I work with a practice that is performing Cataract Surgery in an office based surgical suite. They were provided a set of codes that they should be billing by the OR suite consultant consisting of 66984 or 66982 for the cat removal and then 64727/64708 for anesthetic. I have worked in Ophthalmology for many years now and used to work for a provider that was contemplating OBS so I did quite a bit of research and have never seen the use of 64727/64708 mentioned in regards to anesthetic for the procedure done in office. Has anyone else and if so, can you provide resources as I cannot find any.
