I am looking for information on when to bill in person device interrogation vs device programming.

A device programming includes all the elements of a device interrogation specific to each device type with the addition of the selection of patient specific programmed parameters, depending on the type of device. You can review the elements of an interogation in CPT in the instructional forward ahead of CPT 93264, spefically look at subsection "interrogation device evaluation".
