I have a patient that was seen in the Wound Care clinic which is owned by our hospital and seen by an ARNP. Patient was seen and evaluated in the clinic but was then sent to the ER. Am I able to bill a 99212 for the ARNP's services?

Does the wound care clinic and the hosptial share the same tax ID number? If so, then no, I would say you cannot code. If they are two seperate tax id numbers, I don't see why not.

But I would also not limit your choice to 99212. How does the documentation look?
