I know that an office visit and an admit can not be charged on the same DOS. However, I have heard that some procedures done in the office, in order to try and stabilize the patient, etc...may be billed. We billed 96372 for an administration of a drug in the POS office then the patient was admitted. The carrier paid for this 96372 service but did not allow for the admit. Any suggestions? Also can someone tell me which pservices might be allowable in POS office when a patient is admitted? Thanks
