Our clinics bill under our hospital's tax ID. We are a Critical Access Hospital with 2 satellite clinics that are Provider Based. When a patient comes into the clinic and then is sent to our hospital we do not bill the office call but should I be billing if they are sent to another hospital? Please help??
 
If they are sent to a different hospital, then you would bill the office visit. How do you bill for Transitional care visits. One of my coders says we used POS 21 with the 993xx codes. I feel that this is wrong we should bill pos as 32 with the 993xx codes.
