How do I bill this? Is there a bill? The patient came in to the Family Practice clinic, the MA took the vitals and whatnot, and as the patient got up from her wheelchair in the exam room, lost consciousness. A code was called, two doctors came from our rapid response team, the pt. remained unresponsive, was transferred to the local hospital ED. We are affiliated with the hospital.... Do we get paid for having her in our office?
