One of our providers wants to bill an office visit along with a Lupron injection. The purpose of the office visit is to provide further information to the patient and better explain why he is getting Lupron. Is this considered a separate visit from the Lupron injection that was already scheduled to begin with? I feel like this is should not be charged because even with a modifier 25 it is not a separate problem from why he is getting Lupron to begin with. This provider insist that this would be legitimate to charge for the office visit. Please let me know if this is ok and if I should charge it. Thanks so much
