My doctor has seen a patient with no problems that is inquiring about having a screening colonoscopy. No chief complaint, no history of. The scope is not ordered as dr needs to hear from previous doctor what the results of his scope were. How do I code this office visit with no complaint and nothing done?:confused:
 
Did he already have a screening previously? How long ago?

The rest depends on the ins. carrier. Some will pay for an OV w/the V76.51, some won't. Medicare does not as it is considered part of the procedure.
