Hello!

My question is...if a patient has an Old MI and is now having chest pain, I still code for Old MI (I25.2)? Or do I code for Aftercare because they are now having chest pain? MI happened in May 2022.

If there is no documented reason for the chest pain, you may code that along with the Old MI.
