Wiki on location visits/screenings

Is there a legal way that a physician and his staff can go out on location and do a visit and screenings for like asthma and then bill as if it was done in their office? I dont think they are billing correctly but at a loss to get the proper documentation to prove it.

No you cannot use POS as 11 if the service was not rendered in the office setting you must use the appropriate POS code.

Now that depends, an MD can see a patient at a hospital - for convenience only - and therefore the POS will be 11 (Office). If the visit is done at the home of the patient, there are E&M codes for this which would be POS 12. Take a look at this document to see if your service fits into the standard POS codes:
