I am new to oncology coding. I have noticed that CPT code 77290 is bundling with CPT code 77334 even though this is not an NCCI edit. Is anyone else having issues with this? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

What type of treatment is being delivered to the patient?

If IMRT, you cannot bill a simulation (77290). Simulations are not billable with IMRT.

Thank you! That is what I was thinking after researching this. I appreciate the help! :)

You're welcome.

Also, if you have more questions about radiation therapy billing or coding, you're welcome to join this Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/QHdVCFurnvf2J1CH/

There are about 700 members, most of whom are currently billing or coding for radiation therapy. It's another good place to ask questions.
