We are having challenges recording start and stop times that are instructed by CMS for IV administration. The main challenge is that we have a unit that is on auto. Basically, its stops when its finished. A nurse is not there to capture the exact time it stopped. Do you know of any medicare guidance to document time if no-one is there to capture the exact time it ended. There is conversation here that the run time listed on the bag would be sufficient. We have the start time, so this would give us a pretty good estimate of how long it dripped. Or should we be billing a Push, if no end time documented?-
