I am wondering if our provider performs a right colectomy - removing the Cecum & only a part of the terminal ileum - can i bill 44202/44120 in addition to the colectomy codes 44204/44140. Or is the partial excision of the ileum included in the colectomy?

Abarnard - Thank you for your reply. What if there is no ilecolostomy? Is there different code to be used? or would we append mod 52 ?
