My Dr performed an ORIF for a periprothetic hip dislocation. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a CPT code that specifically says - Open Reduction Internal Fixation of prosthetic/post hip arthroplasty dislocation. The only closest ones I can find are either:
27253 - Open treatment of hip dislocation, traumatic, without internal fixation
27266 - Closed treatment of post hip arthroplasty dislocation; requiring regional or general anesthesia
If it can be avoided I'd rather not use unlisted 27299, but is there any one CPT code that encapsulates ORIF for a traumatic periprothetic hip dislocation?
