Hello all! We are having a coding debate in my office about whether or not a lap chole should be converted to open if the provider has the elongate the incision to get the gallbladder out due to inflammation. He then performs an open liver wedge biopsy and closes the port incisions.

What are you all's thoughts? Any reference material is appreciated, as well.
