I work for a University Ophthalmology Clinic and for some reason we are starting to have problems getting the professional component of our ultrasounds, pachymetries & echos paid when they are billed w/ an E&M on the same day (bundling). To my knowledge there are no NCCI edits to bundle these two services.
We even have one payor that states that the professional component can only be paid for a radiologist.
Anyone here of a radiologist doing ophthalmic ultrasounds????:confused::confused:
 
I don't know specifically which codes i have trouble with but i know i get bundled denials on a Gonioscopy 92020 when billed with 92002-92014 and i have denial on 92225-92226 also for medicaid.
