I am having a difficult time finding a CPT to help our pre-cert team get prior auth for an upcoming procedure.

The physician plans on doing a lower lid surgery for lid laxity not related to entropion or ectropion. Poor lid approximation is contributing to dryness and ocular irritation.

She plans on making an incision on the outer corner of the eyelid, removing part of the lower lid, (tarsal strip) scrap & clean. Then apply sutures to the corner of the eyelid to pull the eyelid tight.

CPT 67914-67917 specifically state for ectropion. CPT 67921-67924 specially state for entropion. The patient's diagnosis does not include neither entropion/ectropon.

Thank you..any insight would be great!!
