hello:

I just had one question about Status indicators from the HCPCS book.

Where are these status indicators used, for what and who uses them?
do we have to enter them on the UB-04 form when we submit the claim to the insurance company...?

if anybody can share their knowledge on this please...

appreciate it.. thank you
 
You do not enter the status indicators on the form these are the indicators that tell the facility how the payer is treating the code essentially. In otherwords an S and T are significant procedures, the S procedueres are subject to discounting and the Ts are not, the X procedures are incidental so do not require the use of a 25 modifer and so on.
