We are an infusion center and have never billed the above 2 codes because I was told not to but now am questioning that. Does anyone know if it will pay on claims in office setting or is it bundled with the admin code of 96413?

If I can bill them, from my google search I THINK benadryl is Q0163 and acetaminophen is 80143. Is that correct? And IF correct how do you bill the units for each? I am struggling to find the information.

Thank you,
Pamela

Oral meds in a hospital setting are billed out on the UB, not on the professional claim. They would go through the CDM from the pharmacy, not abstracted in coding.

Oral meds in the practice setting are not separately billable. Do not bill them as they are considered part of the cost of doing business.
