Is it appropriate for an oral surgeon to bill a preventive medicine code - 99396?
 
I'm not 100% positive but I would have to say no.. that is a code for a physical (preventitive medicine). That code is one that would be used in an internal medicine/PCP's office for instance. Never heard of oral surgeons giving physicals lol. Hope that helps!
