Hi all,

I have a complex surgery in front of me, and there are a few things that I am not sure of.

Procedure:

1. ORIF with 0.035 inch K-wire fixing the intercondylar separated fracture of the distal aspect of the proximal phalanx.

2. ORIF of the comminuted distal phalangeal fracture with growth plate involvement, some epiphyseal and bone loss.

Would both of these fall under the same code 28505, or would they be coded separately?

Also, I am so lost on how to code this:

Repair of hyponychium. Soft tissue flaps had to be created. The remaining hyponychium had to be rotated in a plastic surgical repair mechanism. A loose and partially VY closure of the soft tissue loss was performed. This area spanned 6 cm in length between the plantar and extensor surfaces. Patients own nail which had been debrided was placed as an interpositional graft between the eponychium and hyponychium repair.

I was thinking 11762 of nailbed reconstruction, but am not sure.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
