Wiki PA Billing TC component

Hi There,

I have Physician Assistant billing for the TC Component for Xray to check a spinal cord stimulator placement. Can a PA bill with the TC for straight Medicare?

There is no work RVU to the TC of a service, so the payment goes to the organization that owns and operates the equipment, not to the PA. The PA may be listed as the billing provider is they are qualified to supervise that service in the office. I believe most practices would bill the TC under the physician in the practice who is primarily responsible for supervising the radiology services there.
