I'm coding a EP Study, how would you code removal of a PPM (Pacemaker) and replaced with an ICD lead and defibrillator. Below is what I came up with, but just want to be assured.

removal pacer and reinsert icd w/lead 2012

33249 Insert ICD and one lead
33233 removal pacemaker
93641 testing of device is usually done when the implant is inserted, this can be billed seperate from ICD

I code these everyday and i have the new process down!
