im new to this type of coding and thought I figured out battery changes and insertion-I don't think I did

does anyone any suggestions for training purposes? I keep rereading the cpt book but claims keep coming back!

any help is appreciated

simplest way to code these would be to use that table in the introduction part of Pacemaker or Implantable Defibrillator Procedures.
First 4 set of rows for insertion of electrodes alone without pulse generator
Then 3 rows for insertion of pulse generator with existing leads (single, dual, multiple)
Next 4 rows for insertion pulsegenerator with insertion or replacement of leads
and so on, its just as it says
you need to read carefully for these things
epicardial electrodes and transvenous electrodes
upgradation of single chamber system to dual chamber and Conversion of existing system to bi-ventricular system
These two things can really confuse you, rest just check the table and read carefully and code
