Hi,
Our pacemaker clinic has been billing 93293 with a modifier 26. We own the equipment and we perform all components of 93293. Does anyone know of an instance where we would use modifier 26?

modifier 26 is when you are billing the physician part of the service. it is the professional component..where i work we bill the 26 all the time becuase we bill for the physician and the hospital bills there own!! hope that helps!:)
