Good Afternoon,
I am looking for help on what CPT code would be used for a procedure our Cardiologist have done. The patient was complaining of pain and itching at the pacemaker site and when the physician examined the site he could feel the leads through the skin. He opened the pocket and removed the generator and the leads from the pocket only (they did not touch the leads going to the Atrial or Ventrical). The sleeves were advanced slightly further into the subcutaneous tissue and the pocket was expanded slightly. Everything was put back and the site was closed. What CPT code would we use for this procedure?
