I have received a denial from a Medicare Advantage plan that states Pacer Programming and Remote checks are global. Patient had Dual Chamber pacer implant 6/28/10. On 7/8/10 he came in for pacer programming 93280 and then on 8/19/10 he had a remote check 93294/93296. This is this first time that I recall seeing this deny for global. Is this correct or a processing error on the insurance company's side? Any literature to back up the information would be appreciated.
