Hi, I just began coding for pain management and I was hoping someone might be able to help explain some things to me.

For a major joint injection 20610, does the dosage noted need to be documented with the charge? for instance the doctor lists 40mg of depo medrol and 10 mg of bupivicaine. In terms of coding, are these supposed to be entered in along with the charge or is it just supposed to be documented with the injection?

Same question goes foe 20553 trigger pts 3+ muscles.
