Wiki PAIN SUITE vs ASC vs CLINIC-Rev code

Our physicians here want to set up a procedural suite. It's not a "licensed" ASC and when I asked is it more like a pain clinic, they said not quite. So my question is, we cannot bill a Rev 490 because that is ASC and they say there are other suites as this, what REV code then? The POS is 99 per one MD, but I'm confused as to how it will be billed out.
without getting denials. They tried before to bill out this pain suite as an ASC before I came along and all the claims were denied because it is not licensed nor certified.

I just spoke with someone I networked..stated should just be billed out as an office with name...

it is POS 11 if it is physician office. However there will be some procedures that the payers will not pay in a POS 11 as they require either outpatient or ASC.

I agree....it is an office building. I'll also convey to the doctor that POS 99 is incorrect. Thank you for your help and I appreciate any other information I receive.
