Does anyone know any tips on getting a panniculectomy approved and paid through BCBS of SD? Patient had weight loss surgery due to other medical conditions.

Well it depends on provider's documentation and listing of chronic conditions if appropriate. What was the dx code listed? I hope surgery was pre approved because most payers want that first. Also preapprove treatment plan dx should matching billing dx or may deny.
