We currently use 795.09 for a cervical/endocervical pap showing only reactive/reparative changes. In ICD-10, this code converts to "R87.820 Cervical low risk human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA test positive." Which wouldn't be correct if the HPV status was not known or negative.

What code will you be using for a cervical/endocervical pap that shows only reactive/reparative changes? R87.618 seems a better fit: "Other abnormal cytological findings on specimens from cervix uteri." Do you agree?
