Wiki Paracentesis w/ Abdomen Drain Placement

We received a prior auth request for a paracentesis with abdomen drain placement. Normally I would code a 49083, if it is with imaging. The drain placement is what stumped me. I have found a few resources online that say only 49406 would be coded in this situation. I am hoping that someone can clarify this for me, and if you have a resource I can look up, that would be even better.
