I am hoping that someone else can guide me on this one. Dr. performed a laparoscopic sigmoid colon colectomy (no anastomosis) with an end colostomy. My dr. would like to code 44204, however, that code specifies "with anastomosis". No I am thinking that maybe I should be coding cpt 44188, but, how do I capture the partial colectomy?
