I haven't coded dermatology pathology for quite a few years and could use some help getting back up to speed. We have dermapathologists on staff and I'm having a hard time getting 88305 paid for her.
Ex: Dermatologist performed a 11642
Pathologist performed 88305 X1 unit

Insurance denied 88305 as bundled.
Are these a lost cause or is there a way to get it paid?

We also have a pathologist on site and we bill with modifier 26 and service location is 11. We get paid with no issue.
If you bill 88305 w/o modifier, it will consider global and service location should be a lab facility.
