Has anyone had patients asking to get additional Covid vaccine doses of either Pfizer or Mederna after getting Johnson & Johnson? Is there any information on reimbursement for this? We are wondering if Carriers would cover the additional vaccine. We have patients asking for additional vaccine because of information that the J&J is not as effective.

Per the CDC: People are not recommended to receive more than one complete COVID-19 vaccination series. I would not expect a payer to reimburse a service that is against the recommendations, and I'd actually be surprised if a provider agreed to offer it to a patient, given this.
