Looking for payment policy on limb compression device rental and wrap at a surgical center. I thought that payment of device and pressure wraps are included in the payment to the surgical center and the surgical center pays the DME company. Please advise. Thank you

There are no blanket payment policies that apply in every situation - payment policies are payer-specific and also contract-specific. In many cases, facility policies or contracts for surgical center do often pay based on case rates for a given procedures and for which incidental supplies do not receive separate reimbursement, but there's no general rule that requires that this will always be the case. Some facilities might negotiate a 'carve-out' or policy exception in their payer contract which would allow for separate payment for certain items.
