I have a situation where my doctor is an out of network provider so naturally the ins carrier paid the patient and not the provider. We have been billing the patient for almost two years.

What is the statute of limitations to collect (California)?
Can we charge interest?
Is the money the patient recv'd considered taxable income?

Thanks for any info you can provide

Why would you bill this patient for 2 years? After 2 statements he should have gone to collections. If you can't get his money you might as well ruin his credit score :~)
