Hello everyone! Can I append a -22 modifier if case is taking longer than usual? Under what circumstances is it approprite to append -22 modifier?
 
Per CPT, 'Increased Procedural Services:' Documentation must support the substantial additional work and the reason for the wadditional work (ie, increased intensity, time, technical difficulty of procedure, severity of patient's condition, physical and mental effort required).
