Perhaps this has been presented before, I am unable to find it. When is a pediatrician considered a primary care provider versus a specialist? Some insurance companies have different copay amounts for specialists. This is for a new pediatric clinic opening soon.

For the various pediatric offices I have worked for previously as a receptionist before I began coding we collected the PCP copay. They are the primary care provider.
