Wiki Peak flow

I am working with my providers to help them code and do it correctly and have come across an area that I know nothing about, peak flows. What my providers do is a "bedside" peak flow or Peak Expiratory Flow and PEF pre and post bronchodilator treatment, although not for diagnostic purposes, for treatment only. I am totally lost as to where to even start as I don't feel it qualifies for spirometry.

Thanks for any help on this :)
