We are out of our preservative free flu vaccine 90655 for 6 months and older. We have the preservative free flu vaccine 90656 3yrs and older in a ready to use syringe. My nurse wants to know if we can give the children 6 months and older a half dose. Will we still get payed? and how would we code that?

I bill and code at a health dept so we may have different rules but it seems that if you bill a code for a 3 yr old for a 6mo old it will deny, it does for me. Also, we never "mix" our own vaccines.
