Hello -

I was asked what the code was for the following scenario.

Peds physician (office setting) performing exam of patient when he is called away for another patient in resp. distress.

The peds doc is saying he has used an "emergency" E/M code in the past but he doesn't remember what it is.

Any ideas?
 
Try 99058 -see cpt states service provided on an emergency basis in office which disrupts other scheduled office services.:)
