Wiki Pediatritian billing for newborn

I am new with Pediatric billing. Do we use any other code besides the V30.00 on the physcians claim? Some other V code to say it is a "well ck-up"? Also, if he see's the infant a couple days but is still a "well newborn" do we use the same V30.00 each day?

Hey,

I think V20.1 or V20.2 is the correct one.

Please refer the tabular list for that. BE'coz V30.00 not sounds good for every visit.

Newborns

If this is for inpatient coding then you would use the v30.00 for the inpt stay. Once the patient comes to the pediatricians office the code changes to V20.31 for 0-7 days and v20.32 8-28 days. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. I was meaning inpatient visits, but the well ck's in office is helpful too.

If it is a vaginal well then the code is yes V30.00 and c-section is V30.01 and you have codes for twins too...
